Step #6 – Place a ribbon for your finishing touch You can do whatever you want and color code how you want to.Īrrange your sticks in a way that is decorative to your liking. Step #4 – Tape the candy bars to the sticks. Like I said, this is open to a lot of different customizations to make your gift just right! You could also glue a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the vase and fill it up with a candy as your filler. Styrofoam would be easy as well, it is just another thing you have to get. It was easy and just used scissors to cut it up. I used cardboard because it is what we had. Step #3 – Cut up cardboard, or styrofoam so it fits inside of the candy vase. This is what makes this so cute is that the candy is the vase. Also, make sure all of the boxes are facing outwards so you can see the candy name. If you get more than 2 than you vase is going to be crazy shaped. Make sure that when you are picking out the boxes that you have 2 different sizes. Step #2 – Glue your 4 boxes into a rectangle so it creates a candy vase. 12 or more small candy bars or mini packaged candies.4 boxed candy (get 2 of the same sized boxes). But this year, I’m using these candy bar printable wrappers. I used two large candy bars and three little ones in each bouquet but feel free to add more.īecause these were for teacher appreciation week, I added this cute little saying to each bouquet. So just be careful when inserting the skewers. Because my foam wasn’t on the bottom of the bucket, it had a little give to it. Stick the pointy end of the bamboo skewers in to the floral foam in the bucket. I used scissors to cut the skewers shorter for the mini candy bars and put those in front of the large candy. I left the skewers on the regular size candy bars full length. So make sure the candy bar is securely fastened. My candy bar bouquets were a little top heavy and tended to tip over. Use the packing tape to secure the blunt edges of the bamboo skewers to the backs of the candy bars. Once the foam fits, take it back out and wrap it in tissue paper. My bouquets were top heavy so a layer of something with weight on the bottom of the bucket is probably not a bad idea. The foam did not go all the way to the bottom of the buckets. I had square pieces so I just nicked the edges off. I found it easiest to use a serrated bread knife to saw the pieces off. I would say the container needs to be at least 8 inches or so tall.Ī square or round of floral foam – I also got this at the dollar storeĬandy Bars – I used a mix of full size and mini barsīegin by cutting the foam to fit your container. They looked easy enough to make!Ī vase – I picked up some colorful tin buckets at the dollar store, but get creative. Ouch!
